Hello!

It’s not a joke and for sure no fun! I don’t want anybody to understand it wrongly. So, what I mean by that is there are statistics from other countries than the UK and knowledge we have in general. Now, there are two types of goodbye, either to the virus or to people we know and love. And, let’s not wait with neither nor.

  1. We can say goodbye to the Corona by implementing as much isolation as we can from other people to not get it, or not to spread it.
  2. We can say goodbye to people we know and care because we do nothing to stop it and/or they do nothing to do what’s in point one. Or, they are already with one or more illnesses already which putting extra risk on them.

So, let’s explain exactly what I mean now.

We know that Italy is giving a good amount of statistics as of now. We should look into them to have our heads around it and decide what we want and can do with it. I’ve got statistics from Poland as well.

  1. Coronavirus family attacks most people who are already ill on autoimmune illnesses like heart / cardiovascular diseases, or diabetes. As we know there are many other illnesses of this type as well.
  2. It attacks people not as much at a young age but starting from 40 years mainly with a lower risk, to 70 and more years old where risk is the highest.

Here is a report from Italy:

https://pubmedinfo.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Report-COVID-2019_17_marzo-v2.pdf

It is in Italian and in PDF, so let’s see it in English then in just this part/point 3 and if you wish, you can copy/paste text to google translate.

3. Pre-existing pathologies
Table 1 presents the most common pre-existing chronic pathologies (diagnosed before contracting infection) in deceased patients. This figure was obtained in 355/2003 deaths (17.7% of the sample total). The average number of pathologies observed in this population is 2.7 (median 2, Deviation Standard 1.6). Overall, 3 patients (0.8% of the sample) had 0 pathologies, 8 9 (25.1%) had 1 pathology, 91 had 2 pathologies (25.6%) and 172 (48.5%) had 3 or more pathologies.

Table 1. Most common diseases observed in patients who died as a result of COVID-2019 infection
Pathologies N%
Ischemic heart disease 117 33.0
Atrial fibrillation 87 24.5
Stroke 34 9.6
Arterial hypertension 270 76.1
Diabetes mellitus 126 35.5
Dementia 24 6.8
COPD 47 13.2
Active cancer in the past 5 years 72 20.3
Chronic liver disease 11 3.1
Chronic renal failure 64 18.0

Number of pathologies
 0 diseases 3 0.8
 1 diseases 89 25.1
 2 diseases 91 25.6
 3 or more pathologies 172 48.5

As you can see there are 48.5% chances of dying when you have 3 illnesses already and will have contact with Corona. This is lower to 25% let say when you have 1 or 2 illnesses and only 0.8% when you’re not in shape in regard to your immune system, but are not ill yet.

Similar is in Poland and I’m taking statistics from here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ierEhD6gcq51HAm433knjnVwey4ZE5DCnu1bW7PRG3E/htmlview#

In a sheet “Inne Dane” which stands for Other Data you can see this table:

As you probably already figured out its death in Poland as well as a risk while being ill depending on an age group.

Green is low, only up to 0.2%, moderate orange, high red and darker very high. No further explanation needed though.

So, what can we do all to lower the risk?

  1. We can try to convince older and ill people to reach for help when they have to go out and not go on their own. We should INTEgrate and help them out. Italy wants to put hours at shops only for this group of older people and nobody else will be allowed.
  2. We should not go to work when we feel ill. There are cases where ambulances are taking people from work because they have a chest infection and they were told to stay at work. If anything will happen to Us, will you be happy to blame HR? I think it’s better to get fired!
  3. It’s not much about washing, it’s about contact in general and about boosting your immune system which we focus on this website. If you haven’t done it yet, it’s time to go to our menu and looking at the topic Immune System.
  4. There’s a great video showing how it’s easy to pass germs, one person, to another on youtube:

So, washing hands is not really everything! We should learn from it, please.

If we won’t start to make those changes?

Well, I think we are now aware that if we won’t do it, we can start to say Bye to our weaker part of family members. If I’m wrong, please consider following Italian cases where the army has to move corps to other cities because crematorium in their cities can’t take in so many bodies at a time :(. Here is from Sky News for you to rethink if you are with Us, or Against Us:

The worst comments I have from Scottish and not only people are that: as long as I’ll be OK, then it’s OK. I think it’s time for them to say that to their mothers, fathers, and grandparents. Because they might not be so lucky as these young ones :(.
